Living in San Diego is living the dream. California’s second largest city (and United State’s eighth largest) seems to be almost perpetually bathed in sun and perfect weather, Surfing, eating of just talking a stroll in historic Balboa Park, there is always something to experience. The city is brimming with beer micro breweries, and has a rich history to explore. Today, we take a look at the events that are more ‘local’, like farmers markets or art exhibitions. Whatever your fancy, San Diego has something for everyone.

Wednesday Apr 17: Ocean Beach Certified Farmer’s Market (Wednesdays)
This farmer’s market in Ocean Beach offers an array of groceries and goodies. Featured items include fresh fruits and vegetables, flowers, meat, nuts, sauces, bakery, dry goods, prepared foods, and specialty treats. There are also gift items and craft creations. Come and shop!
At 4:00 PM on Wednesday, an expected 1200 people will attend this event at Newport Avenue & Bacon Stre. The event is hosted by Ocean Beach Merchant’s Association. It is scheduled to end at 8:00 PM.

Wednesday Apr 17: Spring Break Food Truck Festival
Dine, drink and dance at the Spring Break Food Truck Festival! Sample a wide assortment of gourmet dishes from a dozen popular San Diego-area food trucks. Free live music and dance performances in the Plaza de Panama will provide additional family-friendly fun.
At 12:00 PM on Wednesday at 1549 El Prado. It is hosted by Parks & Recreation Department. It is scheduled to end at 7:00 PM.

Wednesday Apr 17: Curbside Bites Food Truck Markets – Downtown Lunch
Every Wednesday, a caravan of food trucks are conveniently located in Little Italy to serve lunchtime meals. Each food truck has its own menu choices. Just pick out what it is that you like and it’s quickly served.
At 11:00 AM on Wednesday, an expected 300 people will attend this event at B Street & India Street. It is hosted by Curbside Bites. It is scheduled to end at 2:00 PM.

Wednesday Apr 17: Little Italy’s Wednesday Farmers Market
The Little Italy’s Wednesday Farmers Market is a Certified Farmers’ Market filled with fruits and vegetables, herbs, flowers, eggs, cheese, pastured chicken and meat from more than forty California farmers. The market also offers artisan foods and specialty items of all shapes and sizes. Expected
At 9:00 AM on Wednesday, an expected 1200 people will attend this event at Date & State Streets. It is hosted by Little Italy Association of San Diego. It is scheduled to end at 2:00 PM.
