Tornado Warning Released by The National Weather Service for Delaware, OK

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a tornado warning for Delaware, OK starting on 2019/05/25 23:52. This event has already been observed and the event is categorized as ‘extreme.’

The best action to take according to NWS is to take shelter during this event. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.

The National Weather Service in Tulsa has issued a

  • Tornado Warning for:
    Southern Delaware County in northeastern Oklahoma
  • Until 215 AM CDT.
  • At 151 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing a tornado
    were located 7 miles southeast of Spavinaw and 2 miles north of
    Leach, moving east at 50 mph.

    HAZARD Tornado.

    SOURCE Radar indicated rotation.

    IMPACT Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
    shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
    Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
    damage is likely.
