DOW, NASDAQ and S&P 500 Index Hit 52 Week Highs
Friday DOW, NASDAQ and S&P 500 Index broke new 52-week highs. DOW finished the day at 27332.03 after setting a new intraday 52-week high of 27333.79 during trading. That is a 243.95 point (0.90%) increase. NASDAQ finished the day at 8244.15 after reaching its 52-week high of 8245.66 during trading. That is a 48.10 point (0.59%) increase. S&P 500 Index finished the day at 3013.77 after setting a new intraday 52-week high of 3013.92 during trading. That is a 13.86 point (0.46%) increase.
The market sectors were mixed Friday with a majority of the sectors trending up. Industrials saw the biggest increase of the day (1.78%), while the Healthcare sector saw the biggest drop (-1.18%). Information Technology has seen the biggest year-to-date gain of 29.86%.
Industrials saw the biggest turn-around compared to its 5-day performance (-1.05%), as it went up by 1.78%. Utilities saw a turn-around from its 5-day performance of 0.36% trading down -0.64%.
